If you have seen our Smoothies for Men series, you know that we are fans of frozen fruit smoothies.  Frozen fruit smoothies are filling and provide you energy to get through the tiring days of being a parent. This Mango Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie (MPSS) offers a great meal replacement with a ton of vitamins and very few calories.

Unlike Our Yogurt Peach Smoothie, the Mango Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie is a mix of multiple fruits offering a unique flavor blend that you are sure to enjoy. We call it a Mango Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie simply because we enjoy the acronym MPSS. In reality it should be a Strawberry Pineapple Mango Smoothie (SPMS) due to the strawberry forward flavor of this smoothie. This smoothie tastes like a tangy strawberry milkshake, so we hope that you enjoy!

Here is the recipe and process for the MPSS.

Mango Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie Ingredients

MPSS (355 Calories)

  • .5 Cups of Frozen Mango Chunks (40 Cal.)
  • .5 Cups of Frozen Pineapple (35 Cal.)
  • .75 Cups of Frozen Strawberries** (38 Cal.)
  • 1 Cup of Vanilla Almond Milk* (30 Cal.)
  • 2/3 Cup of Honey Vanilla Greek Yogurt (200 Cal.)
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract (12 Cal.)

*You can substitute Almond Milk with regular Milk or your preferred Milk Substitute. Note that the Greek Yogurt is acting as your base, so there is not a great need for a very heavy milk in this smoothie.

**We used Organic Frozen Strawberries, but obviously it does not matter. Unless that is your thing, then go all organic!

Mango Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie Ingredients

Instructions

Like all smoothies in our Smoothies for Men series, you will need a bullet type blender or heavy-duty blender to get this smoothie done right. We got our smoothie blender from Amazon and have gotten replacement blades delivered same day, which was beneficial. MDS is an Amazon affiliate.

  1. Put all the ingredients into your bullet blender cup or your blender.  Put the frozen fruit in first to minimize the splash back of them falling into liquid. Never fill above the “Fill To” line on the device or you may end up with a mess.
  1. If you have different blender blades use the 4-pronged serrated blade.  If that is not an option, use the most “aggressive” of your blade options.  You will be breaking up frozen fruit so you will want this really blended and not chunky.
  1. Run the blender until you get the consistency of a milk shake.  If the smoothie is not blending well and needs more liquid to loosen it up, add more Vanilla Almond Milk (or preferred substitute).  Put this back on the blender and try again to see if it comes together.  You should not need to add much more than 1 cup of your preferred liquid, so if it is not blending try hand mixing the ingredients with a spoon to loosen things up.
  1. Once blended to a milkshake consistency, remove from the blender, pour it in your favorite cup and serve.
  1. Clean up should solely consist of the bullet or blender that you used.  Many of the bullet cups are dishwasher safe.  After a rinse it can go right into the dishwasher.
