Deb’s husband Dan Carey, who has a lengthy and tenured background in the brewing industry since the time he was 20 years old, is also Co-owner and Brewmaster. The couple’s passion is making world class handcrafted beers.
The brewery offers a multitude of beer varieties including: Lagers, Ales, IPAs and various Seasonal Beers.
Spotted Cow Beer
The most notable and famous of their beers is the Spotted Cow. Spotted Cow is a classic cream ale that has a mild fruity note, with minimal hops to give a softer bite and a smooth creamy feeling on the tongue and the brewers leave a little yeast in the bottle to give it a silky haze. The bottle screams craft brew as the label has a paper texture, off-white craft paper with yellow and green colors and has the iconic cow and pasture (black and green ink) printed on it. Spotted Cow now comes in both bottles and cans, but the classic option is the bottle. Spotted Cow pairs well with a menu of foods, and New Glarus offers a pairing list on their website for all of their beers, here is the beer description and pairing on their site for Spotted Cow
