If you came from our Smoothies for Men post, you have read Modern Dad Survivals (MDS) criteria for simple, delicious/filling and quick smoothies.  This 4 ingredient Strawberry and Peanut Butter Smoothie certainly fits that bill. You can find these ingredients already in most kitchens (possibly outside of the frozen strawberries) and with a smoothie blender, this process will only take 5 minutes.

This smoothie tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a glass, so we hope that you enjoy!

Here is the recipe and process for the Strawberry and Peanut Butter Smoothie.

STRAWBERRY AND PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS

Strawberry and Peanut Butter Smoothie (420 Calories)

  • 1 Cups of Frozen Strawberries** (50 Cal.)
  • 1 Cup of Vanilla Almond Milk* (30 Cal.)
  • .5 Cup of Honey Vanilla Greek Yogurt (150 Cal.)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter (190 Cal.)

*You can substitute the Vanilla Almond Milk with regular Milk or your preferred Milk Substitute. The Peanut Butter and the Honey Vanilla Greek Yogurt make this a hearty smoothie. Watch adding too heavy of a Milk or Milk Substitute to replace the Vanilla Almond Milk as it will add on to the calories.

**We used the same Organic Frozen Strawberry bag from our Mango Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie.  Part of the beauty of these frozen fruit smoothies is that there is a long shelf life in frozen fruit. This gives you options as you look to create different varieties.

Strawberry and Peanut Butter Smoothie Ingredients

INSTRUCTIONS

Like all smoothies in our Smoothies for Men series, you will need a  bullet type blender or heavy-duty blender to get this smoothie done right. We got our smoothie blender from Amazon and have gotten replacement blades delivered same day, which was beneficial. MDS is an Amazon affiliate.

  1. Put all the ingredients into your bullet blender cup or your blender.  Put the frozen fruit in first to minimize the splash back of them falling into liquid. Never fill above the “Fill To” line on the device or you may end up with a mess.
  1. If you have different blender blades use the 4-pronged serrated blade.  If that is not an option, use the most “aggressive” of your blade options.  You are blending frozen fruit with Peanut Butter so you will want this well blended and not separated.
  1. Run the blender until you get the consistency of a milk shake.  If the smoothie is not blending well and needs more liquid to loosen it up, add more Vanilla Almond Milk (or preferred substitute).  Re-blend this to see if it comes together.  You will not need to add much more than the original 1 cup of Almond Milk, so if it is not blending try hand mixing the ingredients with a spoon to loosen things up, prior to re-blending.
  1. Once blended to a milkshake consistency, remove from the blender, pour in your preferred cup and serve.
  1. Clean-up is very easy.  Many of the bullet cups are dishwasher safe.  After a rinse it can go right into the dishwasher.
